Why is there a joshuabcrutcher.com?

That is a great question because there is not an exhilarating rags to riches story here.  And I haven’t started and sold a million dollar business.  I want to grow as an individual and I want to share things with people…  And learn from others in return along the way…

So what do I see this site doing for myself?

This is a tool I plan to use to discuss my goals, personal character traits I am working to improve, and what actions I am taking to grow to be the best me I can be.

I know when I take ideas in my mind and put pen to paper, tangible ideals are formed.  They are not in stone.  But they are a foundation.  This can be the foundation of you – an ever-changing foundation based on principles and concepts you have taken the time to map out yourself.

As I make my principles known to others, I have established expectations.  I am boldly announcing my character expectations of myself to me.  I am making my own guidebook.  It’s hard enough for me to keep these to myself, but by announcing these to others, I am really setting myself up.  I don’t necessarily need to know if anyone has read my thoughts or principles.  Hopefully, the mere act of making it public in this fashion will be self-serving in that I will always hold myself more and more accountable.

I am not married to any discussion medium.  I am just getting my discussion with my self going.

Don’t mistake this site as a self-delusion of grandeur, it is actually quite the opposite.  It’s me talking about my weaknesses and how I can improve on them to be the best person I can be.
